thank goodness for a diagnosis........
Tue, 02/06/2007 - 13:19my 13yr old finally diagnosed with epilepsy today , it is more of a relief than anything else, she has begun her medication today, (lamotrigine), at least she can begin to get on with her life , hopefully she will take to the med. we have been given an epilepsy nurse who will come to the house weekly and give us the advice and support we need, so that is great. doctor said her eeg, showed, abnormal brain activity,anyone know were i can get a nice s.o.s. bracelet or necklace, from ??. thankyou for this wonderful website. nicola.

Hi Nicola, I'm glad your daughter finally got a diagnosis! I know people often this it's weird to be happy about being diagnosed with something, but when you can finally identify and label the problem it helps to treat it, and I find that a relief. There are lots of places online you can get medical alert bracelets. I found a wonderful site not too long ago where I got three different kinds for under $60 and they have a section for more trendy kind of bracelets and necklaces that a teenager might like http://www.americanmedical-id.com/home/ Just copy and paste:) Hope that helps and good luck!
