MRI query

Thu, 09/22/2005 - 09:37
Can anyone please shed some light on these results from an MRI scan? "Three foci of abnormal high signal were seen. The largest of these was in the left mesial temporal pole subcortical white matter with a second focus in the right posterior parieto-occipital white matter. The third focus was also in the right posterior parieto-occipital white matter. The aetiology of these findings were uncertain but the differential diagnosis was felt to include areas of abnormal myelination or query gliosis of uncertain cause. The possibility of a dysplasia in the temporal lobe was also raised." Thanks again, Maryanne :)
