Is it always the same feeling?

My neurologist wondered if I might be having seizures after describing to her deja vu experiences. I'm 29 now and had several pretty major seizures as a teen. My family and I didn't pursue a diagnosis as they seemed to resolve by themselves. My doctor asked me if I had any feelings when I have deja vu. I said I often feel awe. They feel euphoric or dreadful. She seemed to suggest that if it were a seizure I'd either feel euphoria OR dread, and it would be the same feeling each time. Is that true? Sometimes I feel unreal and experience jamais vu. She also said something that implied if I were having seizures I'd have either jamais vu OR deja vu. Can you have both? Obviously not at the same time... but in general, can one person experience both these things at different times because of seizures? And if so, how typical or unusual is that? Thanks for the help!

questions people have at times....Yes some people with epilepsy get deja vu. Each persons is different. They are used basically to most people that get them as warnings that a stronger seizure is going to happen. Some neurologists specializing in epilepsy will tell you they are basically seizures themselves,, Some people shock or awe. Others feel like they have been there before, Some feel euphoria or dread. Each persons feeling are theirs. Just like their seizures. In the 50+ years I have had epilepsy I can count the number of times I have had deja vu on one hand and still have digits to count.. If this has been happening recently and more often then you do need to be talking to your neurologist because they can present you with a stronger seizure that can be violent.

yes a person can get either

yes a person can get either of them. They both are warnings to people that a larger seizure may happen. They are both seizures themselves. Or at least my neurologists back in the 1970's said they were.
