electric buzzing feeling

Sun, 11/19/2006 - 21:07
I have a sensation occasionally that is very concerning. I usually have it happen when i am in bed and awaken in the morning.. It feels as if i have been plugged into a light socket and my body just buzzes. It has a rythm to it and i have always thought it was related to my seizure condtion? I am not taking anything for my seizures currently, but even when I took 500mg dilantin each day, i had this sensation. I would appreciate anyone giving me some information if they have heard or experienced this. Thank you for listening. Eleanor

Hi Elanor, I'm just browsing through here today and I realize you posted your question a while back so you may have answers now...hopfully. I'm sure there could be many reasons for the electrical buzzing..but the reason I'm very familiar with is tick born disease(s). It is *very* common in Lyme disease from what we understand. In the case of tick born disease it is thought to be a neuro problem from the nasty little buggers. This is probably not helpful but I thought I'd let you know you are not alone with that rotton feeling. Hope you are feeling better, Gracie's Mom

It's not just you, I get the same buzzing and in fact have it right now. My left ear is buzzing like crazy, and that's going to make going to sleep tonight next to impossible.
