Anyone have these strange symptoms

Sun, 10/02/2005 - 18:26
I have had migraines with aura for 3 years and was treated with Topamax, which worked great, although it killed my short term memory. Within the last 6 months I have had 3 strange episodes, one in which I didn't recognize my next door neighbor who was shoveling snow on my porch, the next I didn't recognize my son's new in-laws in a photograph on my PC, after we had spent the evening with them at their engagement party, and last on the morning of my father in laws funeral my son had a tie which look like to me as a bright flaming irridesent lilac. When I asked him why he was wearing such a tie to a funeral he said what are you talking about its red and blue. The neuro thought this strange and did an EEG which came back abnormal with sharp waves in both temporal lobes. MRI showed 6 small white spots which could be due to migraines. He said the EEG could explain the episodes of confusion but that I should stay on Topamax and that should take care of both the episodes and migraines. Additionally, I occasionally get this strange cramping in all my toes in which they appear disformed and I have no control over them. It lasts about 15 sec. Does anyone else get these strange symptoms? I'm wondering if they are seizures.
