Hey Tennisplayer15!

I was your age when I was diagnosed with absence, now complex/simple partial, seizures. It took a lot of tests for my doctors to figure out what was wrong with me. This meant skipping school and walking around with glue and wires sticking out of my head. It meant hanging out in the hospital for days on end to do 24 hour monitoring. It really sucked. What helped me when I missed school was working with the school counselor who gave my homework to my mom so that she could bring it to me, whether I was at home or in the hospital. If you're having trouble keeping up because you're missing school, maybe you can get the school to work with you and your family to make sure that you stay on track.

It sucks when people make fun you of but like the others said, don't let it get to you. When it comes down to it, these kids are usually kids who have problems themselves and they take it out on other people. It hurts but try to ignore them and find people who are interested in the same things you are. Maybe other tennis players, bowlers, or readers? I also bowled a lot in high school. Luckily I found classmates who also liked bowling, just four of us, and we'd go bowling all the time. I was getting really good too! Getting lots of turkeys. :-)

Let's chat some more here and let us know how you're doing.
