driving

Tell me, am i tempting the fates to act up now? I looked in my "seizure journal" (god, other girls keep real journals) :) But I saw that I hadn't had a seizure since Oct 2, 2004. Am I just asking for one to come along? I want my license so now is as good as time is any. I'm just scared. Any help? It has probably been three months (I didn't count, it's kinda late and i have to get to bed) but I just keep putting it off. I could probably have my license by now and be living on my own but I am just scared. Have any of you been in my place before? If you have write back for a little confidence booster.Thanks-Stacey

lucky for my auras. If I told the state medical board when my last seizure was they'd take away my liscense. hehe. I've actually had a grand mal in the driver's seat. I always have an aura so I can pull over and turn the engine off. Its prolly been a month since my last grand mal but i had a aura today. I guess 6 hours straight at the computer isnt good.

Hey there, I have definitely been in the same place as you. I got my license taken away when I was 17. (so I had been driving a year--pure torture for the parents to take you everywhere after such freedom) Well, I had it taken away for a whole year, and once I got it back I was terrified to drive a car, (I had a seizure while in my car, thank goodness for auras) but seriously, it is amazing to do things on your own and not feel disabled. Be a normal teenager! Get the license!
