Surgery outcomes due to seizures caused by Schizencephaly

Hi,
About 6 months ago I was referred to an Epileptologist and have since been testing to see if I was a candidate for surgery to control my seizures that I have been dealing with the last 22 years (I am 42). I have since found out, through the testing, that what I have always thought was Cerebral Palsy, I have weakness on my right side, is really Schizencephaly, a rare birth defect that happens during the second trimester. I have also found out that I am a candidate to remove this defect thus hopefully eliminating the seizures. My question is does anyone here have this defect and had surgery to to resolve seizures caused by this? If so how has the outcome been?
