Post Surgery

I had surgery almost a year ago, and still have not havd CP siezures, YEAH! I belive that peope who are not epileptic think about what heaven may be like. For epileptics the answer is easy, NO SIEZURES IS HEAVEN! I must admit that one thing I did not see coming pre surgery was the anexity and stress of hope and concern that I stay in heaven. I have been talking to a therapist about it and I'm about to start meditation through YOGA. What ever it takes to be siezure free I will try. I never saw this coming. I think that epileptics are the strongest and to me the most respected people there are.

I have one question...Am I still medically considered an epileptic even if surgery has been successful so far?

I had my right temporal lobectomy 7/10/12. It was a very hard decision to make. I only had 1 seizure a month but had to take 5 plus different meds to get that control. I was scared to death to do it but realized liklihood of seizure increase or effects medications would start taking on my other organs. I had never had surgery of any kind so didnt know what to expect in any way what so ever. If anyone had any question about what happens, what to expect, etc I would be glad to correspond with you. I dont facebook but will email or talk on phone. kwoodrow@roadrunner.com or request number through email. I can understand all your thoughts and appreciate what you are going through. Down to the new hair style you are going to be dealing with. Please feel free to contact me.

I'm sooo GLAD that your surgery has been a success so far. I hope it stays that way. I am going through testing for Epilepsy surgery. Even if I receive the surgery and I am seizure free for a long time, I would still consider myself as a person with Epilepsy, but I will be a well controlled person with Epilepsy. I am still going to support it and wear purple shirts, bracelets, anything. I will stay down for the cause. You are a strong person with a beautiful story. I wish you the best in all of your life endeavors. :)
