Left Temporal Lobe Resection vs. Corpus Callosotomy

Has anyone had either of these surgeries? My son, 25 y/o has had intractable seizures since he was 11 after surviving viral encephalitis. Has had VNS since 12 which helped tremendously, and takes a cocktail of multiple seizure meds. Surgery is now an option - he has already had WADA test and all the other preliminary tests. Have consult with neurosurgeon soon, and would really appreciate any info from others who have had either of these procedures so we know what to ask the surgeon to help us decide if this is the right avenue. We've heard about transcranial device too, not sure if we should do this first, or surgery. He's an avid Xbox player - it has become his entire world since he can't drive, etc., and would hate for the surgery to take away the one thing that he says makes him feel like a "normal" person. If you've gone through this please please comment. Thank you.

Also, surgery first before

Also, surgery first before transcranial device. Harder to remove device if implanting that first before deciding to go do surgery. Best of luck!
