HELP! Recovery Time

Mon, 11/27/2006 - 10:46
I should be going in for my LTL surgery some time in February but I am currently more worried about the time I will miss from work than the surgery itself (I know that probably sounds terrible but according to what they are telling me, I only have 12 weeks of FEMA per year and after that I not guaranteed my job and will have to switch to COBRA). I have already used part of this and have not even gone in for the WADA test, surgery or the the time for recovery. How long did it take for you to recover and get back to work after the surgery? Any response will be greatly appreciated.

It took me about a month and a half until I was able to do things. I am still recovering. I was told it could take up to a year until you are fully recovered. I hope everything works out for you. Ken

Hopefully you are recovering well. I have never had any major surgery (or even children for that matter...I am 45, they used to tell me that I couldn't have kids because of the different AEDs on was on). Besides the epilepsy I have been fairly healthy. Thanks for writing.. Keep in touch and let us know how you are. Dawn ;-)
