this is new for me

This concept is new for me, so forgive me if i don't make much sense. My doctors have told me that i've had migraines since i was 16 and it was just hormonal, at 21 they said it was the stress of my major, at 24 they "thought it might be seizures." Now, a few months later they concluded i have simply partial seizures. Its nice that it finally has a name, but i don't know what to do with it. All of these symptoms that i've always had finally have an explanation. And while its easier to deal with now, its still there. My family and friends are ready for me to be better now. They know what's wrong with me, its not dangerous, i'm supposed to get better. I know what i have is not exactly life threatening, but is it really not that big a deal? Am i just supposed to be ok with this?

Hi mortalgrl. Thanks for posting. I guess that's what the folks posting here do best, listen, and try and understand, and not make people feel guilty when they do post. I'm not getting into what your neurologist has said, I'm neither a doctor or neuro. I just know you had an explanation, it worked. The meds changes and testing don't seem to have. Meds can throw up so many side effects, that vary from person to person. Which brings me to the way people are telling you the way to act, and respond? If that includes you using a spell checker to post responses them I'm all for it! It helps so much in understanding when replying to posts. So don't feel guilty about that. Keep in mind when trying to figure out what is happening and dealing with it hormones can really as in really have an effect on seizures and changes in them. Maybe that's something to talk to your doctor or neurologist about. Or read up on it for yourself. There's lots been written about it in the past. Also migraine symptoms, and seizure symptoms can cross over and make things hard to get to the bottom of. Plenty has been written about that along the way. IT sounds like along the way its not been easy at all in trying to figure out what's happening. At least it wasn't for me when that happened, truthfully. Hang in there. Stay positive and upbeat, it helps. Cat. "Many false prophets are gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1
