Hi Ginger, I am a 52 year old female in fairly good health my blood pressure had just begun to be an issue and extremly active. I fell at work the end of 2003 and soon after began having what I now know to be absence seizures. I had to leave that job as I found myself unable to deal with clients. It also took about a year to be diagnosed with EEG testing in the hospital. It is still unclear which temporal lobe my seizures come from. I did have a couple of grand mals. I've taken a number of medications and none so far control my seizures. I hope the medication will work for you and that you won't have any more. It helped me to come up with the language on how to explain to my doctors what I was feeling. I have learned a lot on this website and the chat room helps me feel less isolated as I can not drive, and therefore have become dependant on friends and family to take me where I have to go.
