Feeling out of control

Mon, 10/06/2014 - 11:28

Hello!

i have been dwelling these forums for a few weeks- since my neurologist wrote down a preliminary diagnosis of epilepsy (i looked up his medical codes).  I went in for headaches (severe, everyday with auras all day, loss of balanc, loss of muscle control, etc.)

This morning I had an experience that I  not sure if it was a seizure.  10 minutes after wakig- i began having a bad headache with nausea and auras.  I got ready, then about 40 monutes later walked  out of the house with my son... On the way out, I smelled something gross, continued walking, bevame very dizzy, and my headache became very severe.  I made it to the car, put my son in- and the dizziness began to subside over the next 5 minutes. With in 30 minutes- my headache began to subside.

an hour after the onset, I am just left with a dull pounding sensation in my head.  Is it possible this was a seizure?

thank you!

Krissy

While I have not had head

While I have not had head aches I do know much of what you are going thru. I had auras ans petite mal seizures. I had been having themand some wierd feelings in my right hand but I paid little attention to them. Those aureas got longer and I was being wirtten up for day dreaming in class. My doc had done 20-25 EEG's all comming back normal. Then I had the grand mal and I was diagnosed with epilepsy since all it takes is 2 seizures. Oh those wierd feeling were focal seizures then I had one generalize (went into a convulsion) so 2 different seizures. About a year later after going thru a battery of tests I finally had an EEG come back showing seizure activity. So I do know what it is like not knowing whats wrong and where to look for information. Considering I was diagnosed long before home computers exiated. JFK was president back then
