Can Myoclonus be non-epileptic?

If this is the case is there any documentation about this anywhere anywhere on this planet under some unforseen rock that I haven't turned over? When I do a search on arms+shoulders+Seizures which is what my Doctors says I have I get this. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=arms+shoulders+seizures&btnG=Google+Search

Andrew, I found this on a type of myoclonus. What caught my attention while reading it was the mention of the readings of EEG's, MRI's and CATS showing up as 'Normal' even with seizures present. Some of the seizures mentioned are obvious epileptic seizures. Could this be illogical reason for the term of nonepileptic myoclonus? I'll keep looking. Take care! http://www.emedicine.com/NEURO/topic123.htm -Spiz

Diagnosed with Myoclonus of the Epileptic form...finally might I add. I do wonder about the drug rating system used on Clonazepam on the previously mentioned page as it would have me taking between 2.5 TO 9 mg/d which i now take 6 mgs/d. This however doesn't work well with the govt. research showing that there is massive liver failure at doses of 15 mgs per day. Not sure what my take should be on this issue. I want more of this as I feel it has wore off a lot as they have left me at a doseage which is still very low at a little over 1/3 the maximum set on the NINDS pages at 15 mgs. I have been on 6 mgs for a year now and it says plainly that it wears off after aout 6 months. Like I didn't notice or something.... My last Neuro who gave me an Epileptologist said I was on too high of a dose of Clonazepam. I'm currently still using marijuana to try to keep myself from wanting to try any more seismological testing... I even have moved and will be prescribed it until my Epileptologist appt. at the end of April. Good luck to him and his team. They haven't found another drug that is a viable option for me thus far, though I have tried to find if there is any relationship between the rash formed by Lamictal and Zonisimide.... Almost breathtaking... Thanks for all the help everyone everywhere.... Andrew Strasser
