Side effects after stopping Keppra

Thu, 12/01/2016 - 16:50
OK, so my husband got approval to get off of Keppra. The weaning process was fine. The second day he was completely off of it, he was dizzy, felt weak and most importantly fluorescent lights were really bothering him. To the point he said his vision was as if you were drunk. When we are at home, he has no issues whatsoever. It's only when he's in a store or at work that has fluorescent lights. His primary doctor said this is just a migraine and a side effect of going off of Keppra. We went to see another neurologist (we are working out of state) and they said Keppra doesn't have side effects like that and they are concerned it's heart related. He just had a check up with his cardiologist and his SICD has no abnormal activity and hasn't since it was implanted. He only feels this way around fluorescent lights. I just don't know what to think or do. Both neurologists don't believe it's seizure related. My husband has never had migraines before and we are leaning towards maybe light sensitivity. Any help or input will be appreciated

Hi,I am currently weaning off of Keppra, and on a better medication. But this is the last week of weaning off Keppra and for 2 days I feel: weak, light-headed, and I  had a couple mood swings. Mostly occurs afternoon.Do you guys think this is a withdrawal symptom? Will it subside?
