Female. Started seizing at 14

Female. Started seizing at 14, had a failed brain-surgery for my frontal-lobe nocturnal grand-mal/tonic-clonic epilepsy at 18, but was still on Oxcarbazepine/Trileptal until I was 22. Was entirely asexual basically the entire period, no sex drive whatsoever, no interest in relationships, no interest in people, emotion or arousal at all - I hardly felt anything. Finally found a new adult neurologist to replace my pediatric one and was put on Lamotrigine/Lamictal. Have been seizure free since the start. Shortly after discovered a new interest in relationships. 27 now and happily engaged at 3 years. To prevent pregnancy I go all-out fertility-awareness method, so NO HORMES to mess up my system, only regular tracking (cycle calendar, body basal temperature, vaginal-mucus, uturus texture & diameter), withdrawal during the ovulation period and self-discipline. No pills, no implants, no condoms and no babies for 2.5 years now. Rarely go without an orgasm during sex, he makes sure of that.So if you're having trouble with libido, ridding Oxcarbazepine/Trileptal from the system and instead taking Lamotrigine/Lamictal appears to have helped, trade any external hormones or barriers for a higher attention to your body and thus a far more natural & pleasurable sexual experience if you have the discipline for it (fertility awareness methods), and don't forget that the #1 is to communicate honestly with your partner. Be honest with your body, be honest with your partner and don't be afraid to get creative. These methods worked for me after years of thinking there was something wrong with my body, and life is all the better.Good luck.
