Keppra and acne
Mon, 06/22/2015 - 19:43
Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with nocturnal epilepsy in 2011 and was prescribed keppra. Ever since, I have struggled with moderate to severe acne on the left side of my face. I have tried everything (literally EVERYTHING) to get rid of it. Not to mention, I do have problems with irritability and some rage on this med. At this point, I am ready for a change. My self esteem is really suffering and I'm about ready to investigate alternatives to keppra. Has anyone else experienced acne on this RX? What about diminished sex drive? Thank you!
Acne is not a side effect to

Acne is not a side effect to keppra I have used it for years and had no problems with it. As for your other issue with keppra___ You might check when you are taking it to determine if you have been taking it right. Ir the prescription is 2 times a day tehn those times need to be 12 hours apart. If you are taking it at 7 am then at 10 then the 3 hour difference could cause some issues like breakthru seizures and maybe even your issue of rage. I have only been taking it for 12 years now. It not only reduced the number of seizures it also reduced the time on those seizures.
