Dilantin Overdose?

Fri, 01/06/2006 - 07:52
Howdy all, i'm a newbie. I recently had a seizure on an airplane (vacation) and a second in the ER. My Doctor advised me to bump up my meds to 300mg in the morning and another 300mg before bedtime - I complied. While on vacation taking the increased dosage I noticed no changes other than quality of sleep, i'm sleeping better than I have in probably 10 years. Upon returning home/work i'm felling kind of, funky, for lack of a better word. I'm lethargic, my vision is kind of shakey, my hands are twitchy, and i'm slightly unsteady when I initially get out of my chair. I've only noticed this "feeling" the past 3 days. I take my meds around 7:00-7:30AM and by 8:45 or so i'm flying. Is this normal? Is my body adjusting to the new dosage? Will this go away? I plan to call and inform the nurse today anyway but I just wondered if anyone else out there has had a similar experience.
