Anyone ever taken Zonegran?

Tue, 10/17/2006 - 17:20
I was just wondering if anyone is on now or has in the past taken Zonegran. I am on it now. I have been about a month and a half, I guess. I am usually confused and "slow", but I swear it seems 10 times worse now. I have lost about 8 pounds now, too. I am not complaining about the actual weight loss, its just that I can't eat. I feel "yucky" all the time and just have no appetite. I am hungry, but I can't eat. I have lost down now to 115. Just wondering about anyone elses experiences with this.

I just started taking zonegran. Only on 100mg. daily until my next bump up in about two weeks. I also have lost my appetite. I'm not experiencing any other side effects yet.

Hello, My epilepsy right now is pretty well maintained. It's tough, but I know it will get better for you. As far as Zonegran, I had a lot of problems on it. I was really out of it and lost weight as well. My family and girlfriend didn't even recognize who I was. If you have Generalized epilepsy, look into Depakote and if you have focal epilepsy, you miight want to research Tegretol.
