From reading other posts I've found on the internet, it's not an uncommon thing to happen. If your son happens to be on Depakote, I know that there have been some incontinence reported with the use of this drug but I don't know if this would be relevant to the fact that he's losing bladder control during a seizure.

My 8 year old son has absence seizures and was diagnosed at 6. He was fully potty trained and dry at night until he started having seizures. He now has to wear pull-ups at night and has accidents every day. Every doctor and neurologist I've talked to can't confirm that it is linked to the seizures, but I don't now how it can't be. My son doesn't even seem to be aware that he is having an accident most of the time. I have no idea what to do to help him. Hopefully someone out there has some ideas on what to do. It is really hard to have an 8 year old that has the bladder and bowel control of a 3 year old!
