I began my blog purely because I had all these pieces of writing accumulated over the years and found it very therapeutic to actually put them out there, if other people read it and can relate or find something that interests or moves them then even better. Some posts have received lots of comments others none at all. In fact I've received more comments via e-mails than I've ever received on my actual blog, some good some quite scathing but then again given the subject matter its only to be expected. The one good thing was it drove me to start writing again, and also to get round to finishing things that I began writing a long time ago. As for buddy lists, well quite a while ago I cut quite a few people from mine and I feel another bout of cuts coming soon, purely because some of these people have dropped off the site for one reason or another, but I have their e-mail addresses and we stay in touch but they usually say that they don't get as much from the site as they once used to. I keep in touch with quite a few people from my list mainly through e-mail, msn, letter and phone call, I'm sorry if it maybe sounds a little sad on my part but some of the people I've met here have become special to me in an immeasurable way. At times it really does seem so hard to make sense of anything, I've fought that long hard battle for many years and maybe, just maybe stepped out into the sunshine again, I hope you can follow the same path. Always ready to listen Andy

Andy, I too have always loved writing, but I've been horrible about keeping up with it lately. I don't know if you have heard of national writing month? Well, it is in November and my daughter signed up for it. Her doing so encouraged me to do the same. The goal is to write 50,000 words by the end of the month so that you have a novel. If you would like to learn more about it just google Nano Writing Contest and it should come up. If interested, I hope you have fun with it! "Prayer is not an old woman's idle amusement. I like to write - it's my expression. As for what about nobody reading it? I have a dream journal which is set to private - it's for me to read at a later date, nobody else. I also have a private blog, which I started AFTER i started adding to the one on here. I enjoy writing though, so call me mad/der. Sometimes though, someone eles may write something in their blog that you may identify with but just haven't been able to express - something like that might help you.
