spouses

Are there any spouses out there with their love ones having grand mal seizures.  My husband had a TBI four years ago, and had his first grand mal one year after.  He has only had four so far, and is on Depakote.  He had two grand mal s's last Saturday morning.

This seizures are very frightening for me to watch, so I now sleep in other room.  I am afraid that one time, something bad will happen and I won't be there to help.  But it is so stressful.  I hate this.  I guess since his accident, (he fell off a roof at ten feet) and the seizures began, does that considered epilepsy.  His doctor keeps just uping his meds after his seizures.  Does that sound right.  Am thinking about finding a new doctor.

my husband had his first seizure on his 15 years old birthday, when we got married, he didn't have any seizures during daytime, 1 month later, when we were on our honeymonth trip, he fell in the airport and broke his head, his seizure  looked like out of control after that, he fell at 2006 and had blood clot in his brain, he had brain surgury, now, it is 1.5 years after the sugury, he had many grand mols than before, average was twice a month, he did better for 9 months, now, he starts to have small ones every 2 or 3 days, he had one grand mol at 4 am and one at 6 am this morning. I don't know what to do. he had brain surgury done at 1995, it didn't help, he has been taken 3 different kinds of medications (15pills per day)and had VNS too, when he has seizures at night, I jump up and use magnet wiped across his chest, it helps a little bit, I get the pee cup to help him pee, so he will not wet the bed. that's all i can do.  sometimes I feel so bad, I cry,I pray, but when can his seisures get controled? he is such a lovely person, when he has no seisures, he is so sweet and so happy, he fixs his hair and looks so pretty, he deserves better life than this, if I could share half of his pain, I would.
