Self Driving Cars for Epileptics

Thu, 03/17/2016 - 19:28
I am posting this because those of us living with seizures need self-driving cars. I am not sure of whom or any organization that is involved with the car manufacture companies concerning research & development. I heard that you will still need a license to be able to operate a self-driving car. Does anyone have information or know an organization I can get involved with? Thank you! Life without driving is miserable, it is very, very limiting. To do the simplest tasks one needs a driver. I use Uber, cabs and hire a teenage boy to get places. It's way too expensive. Does anyone have information or know an organization I can get involved with? Thank you! My diagnosis, complex partial seizures of the temporal lobe caused by poly-microgyria.

Its not easy person who are have the epilepsy to fight with the fear of driving especially when the seizure can come suddenly.I think if the person has an epilepsy definitely by a Tesla car model 3 with drivelles capabilities. And when driving on the roads even if epilepsy was 5 years ago need to take care because epilepsy can occur at any time. This is my case. Best way is to rest before the journey and make sure the journeys are short. Thou I heard Tesla has the capabilities such as crash detection and overrides the driver if action is not taken that way uses the turn to safe point or uses the break automaticly avoid the crash point. Thou danger always is there. As for the future I hope that they make the I detection for the example when driver go to sleep and car will detect and turn autopilot automaticly i think that would be revelation and save to drive nearly for everybody. As for know important to keep distance and drive at the lower speeds in case somethging happens with your car that others would be able to avoid the crashes.
