I have just finished reading this book. Anyone else read it? and if so, what do you make of the Temporal Lobe Epilepsy "personality" which includes: hyper-religiousity, hypergraphia, hyposexuality, viscosity/stickiness. I have to say most of it fits for me to the freakin letter!!!weird eh? talk about perseveration in cognitive thought...sweet Jesus, do I ever do this!!! it just goes round and round in my head. most of my friends tell me "hurry up and forget it already! I tend to keep re-hashing the same thing over and over

Apparently, the catholic

Apparently, the catholic church won't ordain anyone with TLE - they feel the 'calling' might be from the condition, not the individual. I've posted stuff by this guy before, but it's worth checking out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raT2PrTQqS0 2 more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIiIsDIkDtg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5z4B5BYbjf8 Mark By Mark Janjigian at Thu, 08/09/2007 - 11:52am | Reply ... Thanks for sharing the above. Here's my view. The Catholic Church historically and even today is quite anti-science. It's very difficult for me to believe that the Catholic Church would use human logic in the area of epilepsy at all - year 2007 - especially since it still offers exorcisms. Mother Teresa of India was exorcised twice (at Mother Teresa's request) in the last five years of her life. The last Pope almost tried to make Mother Teresa a saint before she passed on. Here's what the Catholic Church said about Galileo: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/galileo/ Here's how the Catholic Church viewed the idea of translating the Bible into the English language: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/case_bible/index.html Recently the current Pope badmouthed all non-profit religions on planet earth except those based in Rome, Italy. In the minds of many persons, the Catholic Church today - year 2007 - has zero credibility - especially in the areas of science and medicine as well as the protection of children from child crimes. Sorry if the content of this post about science, medicine, and European Catholicism offends some readers. Please send your complaints to PBS, not me.
