partial seizures and dizziness
Sat, 06/25/2005 - 14:31HI MY NAME IS TAMMY. I HAVE PARTIAL SEIZURES. I STAY DIZZY 24 HOURS A DAY. ONE DOCTOR SAYS IT IS THE SEIZURES AND ANOTHER SAYS THAT SEIZURES ARE EPISODIC AND I WOULD ONLY BE DIZZY DURING THE SEIZURE. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS NOW. I HAVE BEEN TO THE EAR DOCTOR AND THEY SAY MY EARS ARE FINE. WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HERE HAS EXPERIENCED THIS DIZZINESS AS WELL. YOUR INFO IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. HAVE A GREAT DAY. TAMMY

Hi Tammy, I had three grand mal (tonic clonic) seizures a month ago. The first two weeks after my seizures I had constant "brain fog" is what I call it. Also ear ringing and occational headaches. After 2 weeks I would have bouts of time where I felt just fine but then it would come back. My EEG was normal and so were my med level blood tests so he isn't doing anything anymore. What kind of medication do you take?

I had a very bad problem with vertigo. The doctor reduced my Lamictal dose slightly, and they stopped completely. For me, there is a thin line between under medicated and over medicated. I hope this helps someone. Epilepsy sucks.
