Mind Games - What on earth is going on?
Tue, 11/07/2006 - 07:22Ok, so I woke up on Friday morning and I felt FANTASTIC. I have remained this was since then. What on earth is going on? How can I be so so sick for days, weeks, months .. and then wake up and its like it never existed?

The hormone change can trigger the seizing yes. It's done it to me for years, can't think of how long that's been happening. We figured out how to fix it with an OTC drug so luckily I've only gotten the trigger auras and that's been pretty much it. Seizes can sneak in if I don't catch the cycle early enough but I've been doing okay so far. Thank goodness.
There isn't really a whole lot that I've been doing other than taking the OTC drug during the cycle then when it's over I'm done with it till the next run around. Pretty simple enough.

Hmmm .. I'm just getting to the point now that I don't know whats normal and whats not anymore. I wonder if some areas are just to fine for my Dr to figure it out.
Anyhooo ... am off to get my 6 hour EEG on Monday. yay! I get a free lunch! wahoooo! haha

Hi Becc! I think what you're thinkin' bout with the hormonal stuff is catamenial epilepsy. I believe it isn't a type of seizure disorder but rather a "pattern" of seizure activity. The pattern in this case would be that the frequency/occurence of seizure activity coincides with the menstrual cycle. ~pamm
