MED. ALERT BRACLETS?????

Mon, 09/10/2007 - 23:10
I have been told over the last couple of months that I should look into getting a med. alert braclet. I have searched on-line a little bit and found a couple of sites. My question is this...... Is there a site that offers braclets that don't scream "I AM SICK"????? But I also have found ones that look so much like a regular beaded braclet that if it was turned the wrong way no one would know to look at it. Is there a middle ground that anyone knows of? Somewhere that offers style and a reasonable price? How about advice on what to put on it? Meds. are changing so much right now that they can't be included. Any good ideas? Thanks In Advance

My parents got mine when I was a teen ager (we'll just say late 80's) at a medical store. It just has the medical symbol on top and "Epilepsy" on the underneath. You can get them in silver or gold and it doesn't look too "handicap" or too bracelety. It's right in between. Besides the bracelet though, I've made my own little medical card that's laminated and I keep it in my purse with all my meds, the neurologist I see, my family doctor... and update it whenever needed. The bracelets are definitely too small for all that info.
