Last night while I was in bed I had the worst feeling. It felt like someone took an electical shock to my left side of my head above my ear and i was hearing the zapping sound like an electical shock. This morning I can still feel where it happened because it is sore. Has anyone EVER felt this before?? HELP am I going crazy??

I frequently have electrical charged and shocked sensations. I have been living with this for a long time and it is most often on one side of midline. Sometimes it just involves cranial nrves and other times it will involvemy whole side. Sometimes the shock is so violent that it leaves me with a temporary paralysis. I know I'm not crazy, but I will be tired afterward. AED's have helped to lessen this for me. You are not crazy.

I've had this happen before--a feeling like an electrical jolt, sometimes accompanied by a "twang" kind of sound, or the sound of a spring snapping sort of...they always come just as I am falling asleep. I'll be interested to see what your doctor says. Hang in there!
