hands and arm fall asleep; is this part of SPS

Sun, 10/15/2006 - 18:10
I have noticed since having 20+ seizures a day that I have experienced a loss in feeling my hand and arm muiltiple times a day. The times I feel the pins and needles do not seem to corralate to the seizures. I also do not believe it is just circulatory related because it is always the same arm, the same side in which I feel my migrains spread after a SPS. I might add that it happens in my sleep, while I am cooking, while I am typing, ect. After the pins and needles subside I get the worst charlie horse pains and can see my pulse in my veins. Does anyone else experience this? If so, do you think it is related to my SPS?

Yes that is what it is actually! I also get them. I get the sleep feeling in my thumb and fingers. It is a simple partial seizure. You are aware of everything around you. I sometimes have my whole hand fall asleep which I then go into a generalized seizure. Also it is possible that your migraines are also a sps. What meds are you on? take care Lisa http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/epilepsyapproach/

The seizures could be mildly

The seizures could be mildly described as a de ja vu feeling, either a place in time, or a familar scene or smell sets it off, then a rush of blood to my head where it feels like there a vice pushing outward, I lightheaded and almost faint as I burned from inside out with fever and regain my surroundings. Each spell lasts for only 10-20 seconds but I would be drenched with sweat on my brow and pits. I currently am not on any meds, and hope that I can survive without them.
