feeling out of this world
Sat, 09/30/2006 - 10:21that feeling.feeling like you're in another world.and you can't shake it off.you try not to pay attention to it,but it's there.i hate that feeling.

Hiya girlygirl,
I've had that feeling for off & on for years, & yeah its like you are literally 'in another world', it aint nice is it.. & no matter how you try & shake it off you can't. people where I work often say oh 'Ruth's often in a world of her own'! what they don't realise is, that thats exactly how I feel. its really nice to know others are feeling the same, that understand what its like.

I have felt this way all my life, although when I was a child I never knew what it was. Right through the rest of my life I have always been out of step with reality, swimming against the tide as it were. That's why I used to write and chronicle things so much, it's only really in the last 3 or 4 years that I have truly grasped what it meant all these years and the largest contributing factor in this was finding like-minded people on this site and exchanging thoughts and ideas with them. The other world often feels like a country where I live where I don't quite understand the language and now I have found a place where everyone speaks the same language. Andy
