Fatigue and headache.

Thu, 09/14/2006 - 08:10
Good morning. I think. Has anyone else suffered from severe debilitating headaches? I woke up at 3am with a headache so bad I could barely get out of bed to get an advil. I went back to bed and woke up feeling a bit better, but I'm tired. I'm so tired I just want to curl up and cry. I think I had a seizure yesterday, but I don't know when. I just had the sense that I'd had one. I know I've been back to spacing out a lot. My neuro told me to up my meds on my own if the seizures kept happening after a week. I don't know if I feel good about doing that, nevertheless I'm up to 2000mg of keppra daily starting Sunday. Does anyone else get really fatigued or have headaches after simple partials? I'm trying to figure out if maybe I had a seizure in my sleep.

Er.. don't you need to know where the seizures are coming from in order to determine what type of seizures one has? fzMousie, I'd suggest you find another neurologist.. maybe even an epileptologist (a neuro that focuses on epilepsy). This chaos is common.. I saw well over a dozen do-no-good neurologists (I'm referring only to the the ones I personally saw) before I got to the epileptologist that was able to get me controlled. best of luck ~sol

My neuro called me back and

My neuro called me back and wants me in to see him pronto. I had a bad spot on Friday and it left me with a headache all weekend, but also with a bad earache. Something is really not right. =( Anyway, apparently he knows what kind of seizures I am having based on the manifestations. Also, based on the manifestations and his knowledge of epilepsy, he can make an educated guess as to where they are coming from. I guess it doesn't sound bad when I put it like that. But if you know the cause, wouldn't you want to see if you can make one happen so you know exactly what you are treating? He might be taking me off the Keppra. I will do a dance of joy if he does. I feel like crying. I'm just so not well right now! =( Ps. It is really bad when your BOSS knows you have just had a seizure.

Hi there, I just started reading what you have been writing today. I agree with solis and think you should get another opinion. I have simple and complex partials and am currently being tested for surgery. I have had these for 36 years and been through 8 medications (I am currently on Keppra myself and Depakote). They have me up to 1625mg a day on the Keppra and I can hardly stand it. I don't know how long they have had you taking it but try to get in and see an epilitologist who or at the very minimum another opinion from a neurologist. Best of luck, Dawn
