Epilepsy and (((Psi))) ability

Thu, 10/05/2006 - 09:40
I am presently in the diagnostic phase of ruling in/out Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. I have a few posts on the "New to Epilepsy" board. I have been curious about the connection, if there is any, between Epilepsy and Psi ability. I would imagine that I would glean much more on this subject from the veterans here on this board. I want to clarify and make the differentiation between the feeling one gets when they have an impending sense of doom, (which as I understand it can be an aura) or what I'd call "non-functioning" psychic gift: http://www.epilepsy.com/stories/ps_1066699536.html and actually having a specific premonition and then having it come true. My grandmother possesed this ability and I seem to have it to some lesser extent than she. I never knew her as she passed on before I had the chance to meet her. She was left-handed like myself. I have had a few premonitions in my life that came true. For example, one time I had predicted a member of my family's death. It would be important to note that *this person was not sick or dealing with chronic illness* at the time I had this premonition. I was a teenager at the time. Eerily, I had this premonition one night while asleep. I woke up feeling very disturbed and sorrow-filled because in my dream I was saying goodbye to her while sort of suspended in the air over her coffin. There were other people dressed in black milling about the room which I am guessing was the wake. Two weeks passed and I got a phone call that this person had died. I asked what happened and when? and was told it was two weeks earlier, nearly to the night I had this premonition. All premonitions I have had, come to me in my dreams while I am sleeping. Also however, while awake, I have touched various objects (and or people) and got information about the person even though they were a stranger to me. I can't explain it very well, but the information I receive just comes to me, almost intrusively. I can't control it or whatever. I came across this link while trying to find information about a possible connection between epilepsy and psi. Since my grandmother had this ability I was wondering if it runs in families?: http://www.pni.org/research/anomalous/classif_art/psigene/psigenetl.htm Please, please pleeeeeeeese....does anyone else out there have this or something similar?

Skifinatic and Advorpt: Thank you thank you thank you!!!!I have been feeling freakishly alone with this thing. It's sooooo comforting to know there is someone else. Advorpt, I have seen your moniker on a site dealing with esoteric stuff. Can you tell me what does this mean?: 90th region in the progression of the Aethyrs???

My grandma is phycic. But she "turned it off" because it scared her. She told me that she saw a boat explosion on the news and she said, "oh my god phil's dead!" And grandpa thought this was stupid and said,"just because the boat explode doesnt mean he's dead." So grandma agreed but couldnt help thinking about it. Then later that night she sleep and had dream that her and my mom were at church and they looked over and saw Phil standing next to them, and his head turned into a skull and it grinned at them. and then it exploded. So grandma wakes up terrified. And as soon as she wakes up the phone rings and it's her best friend, her friend tells her that her husband just killed himself by shooting himself in the head. I got another story if you huys want to hear.

heya SoccorFreak! kewl story !!!yes I want to hear another one from you. Here's one about my grandmother: My dad re-married to a woman named Stormy several years after my mom and him divorced. Stormy was involved in doing this thing called astral-projection. I was raised Roman Catholic and was told this was dabbling into potential bad area because when someone does this, they leave their body (spiritually speaking). My priest told me to tell her not to do this that sometimes while a person is out projecting, an entity can take over the person's body. She is a Christian but says that Scripture doesn't prohibit this practice. Anyways, one night Stormy laid down on her and my dad's bed to go astral projecting. She said she went to my grandmother's house and was looking in her windows. What Stormy told me next was creeeeep-eeey. She said she had done this a lot of times before but this time, all of a sudden while looking in my grandmother's windows; Grandmother's door opened and she looked at Stormy and said, "Get the hell off my property!!!" Stormy said she quickly returned to her body and told my dad what had happened. Now about 5 minutes later, in real time mind you, the doorbell rang. My dad answered the door and Granny was standing there on the doorstep with her shotgun in hand and said to my dad, "You keep your wife off of my property...YOU HEAR ME!!!" Now how did my granny know that my dad's wife was looking in her windows when she wasn't there in the flesh? I dunno. I have another story about granny too if you are interested.
