dumb and dumber

I have read about people having a hard time finding the right words to say and getting tongue tied a lot but what about just doing really stupid things. I was sitting in my car yesterday with my headphones on listening to a cd and each time the song was over and I wanted to replay it I would reach for the radio dial on the car instead of the button on the walkman. This happened over and over again. Either my short term memory is totally kaput or something else is going on.

Are you taking any meds that causes short term memory loss by any chance? One of the meds I'm on is topamax and it causes memory loss for me. I get stuck for words, and my thinking is a lower than most people. This is all due to topamax so I discovered recently in my neuro psychological test. I knew my memory was bad because of topamax but now I know just how bad! And apparantly topamax has taken about 15 points off my IQ! I feel stupid! I feel really stupid since that day of the test. Never realised just how bad topamax was effecting me. Dopamax is perfect nick name for the drug alright! This is why I am asking you, if you are taking meds that can cause these side effects.
