mom & dad

I am a 20 yr old college student who is in the process of getting her license. But that's not the problem here. I'm 20 and i need to move out of my house soon before me and my mom kill each other. We really don't get along. I'm going to be moving to the city in April but both my mom and dad are opposed to it. Do you know any ways that I can convince them that I will be ok? I will be living w/ 2 roommates and one is majoring in nursing so she knows her stuff but is that enough?

Hey, i am 19 years old i am from a very small town. Where until 4 years ago had never really herd anything about seizures till one of the girls i went to school with started having them. Then a few weeks before i turned 17 i started having them. So far i have only had 4. I was planning on going to college about 15 min from where i live but my act score was not high enough; sad to say this gave me a reason to have to move out. I am going to a community college in Mississippi. i live about an hour away from here. Well since i could not drive i had to move in because my sisters have classes as well. my mom didnt want me to move out she was unsure of it. Well my roommates mother had seizures also so she knew what to do so that made my mom feel real good. Well now i am living alone. I get scared a lot because of the fact i worry if am going to have one and nobody is going to be there to help me. Thank god every time i have had one my sisters have been there or my mom. The third one i had i probably would have died if my sister had not been there. I make my mom feel good when she calls telling her i am keeping my medicine up and getting enough sleep. She hates that i am away. I will get a call every other day making sure i am ok. Just let your mother know that she can call and check up on you things of that sort that make her feel better about you moving out. I am a lot more careful now with my medicine taking it my 12 hours apart and getting enough sleep. So Far i have not had another one;I have been 7 months without one!!! For what is worth just thought i would put some input in! meg

For what it's worth, I think it is fantastic that you do keep in touch like that. I know it would make me feel better if my child called me like that.
