USING ALL CAPS FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED

Sat, 04/05/2008 - 19:51
HI EPI, I WONDER IF YOU COULD DO SOME DAMAGE CONTROL OR IF I SHOULD EMAIL WARREN SO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY UNDERSTANDS THAT, LIKE ME, THERE ARE VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE ON THIS SITE WHO NEED ALL CAPS, REGARDLESS OF HOW OUR COMPUTERS ARE ACCESSORIZED? IT WOULD BE A GREAT HELP. SOME PEOPLE, LIKE MY FRIEND, BANFFGIRL HAVE PEOPLE ACCUSING HER OF YELLING AT THEM BECAUSE SHE IS USING ALL CAPS SO I AND OTHERS CAN SEE. ANY HELP WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED. THINGS ARE GETTING PRETTY UGLY HERE. THANKS A BUNCH, HOPE YOU ARE WELL, BLESSINGS, JAN

I APOLOGIZE FOR MY IGNORANCE IN THE REASONING BEHIND BANFFGIRL'S CAPS. THE PREFACE TO THAT STATEMENT SEEMS TO HAVE GONE UNNOTICED IN WHICH I AGREED WITH HER STATEMENT, AND USE "PEARLS OF WISDOM" ACKNOWLEDGING EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE.

I HOPE THIS HELPS QUELL THE ANGST THAT I HAVE UNKNOWINGLY CAUSED.

LORELAMA,

YOU MERELY POINTED OUT THE ETIQUETTE, WHICH MANY HAVE DONE, THINKING SHE DIDN'T KNOW. THIS WAS DONE BY YOU IN HOPES TO HELP HER, I'M SURE. AS I'VE POINTED OUT IN OTHER POSTS, ONCE THE REASON FOR THE CAPS IS ESTABLISHED, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY ISSUES WITH ANYONE SEEING THE CAPS. THIS IS A GOOD REASON TO POST IT IN THE BEGINNING OF A POST OR ENDING. TAKE CARE!
