Sex Drive

Mon, 12/20/2004 - 10:21

Hi all,

I have suffered from Grand Mal seizures since my mid teens, and have been on Epilim Chrono (when I lived in the UK) and more recently, Valproic Acid in Canada.

I have noticed a huge drop in my libido and am concerned as to wether it may be the medication.

Does anyone else out there have any knowledge or experience of this?

Thanks,

James

James,It is not unusual to lose your sex drive. The same has happenedto me. I'm sure it's from the drugs we take. What's really bad is that I take high blood presure medicine so I couldn't take Viagra if I wanted to. Part of the loss of sex drive in my case is that it's hard to get an erection. Doctors don't really address the problem because they just feel you should just accept it. I'm hoping they will find a drug that addresses the problem but it doesn't look good for now. So your not alone, and it's not unusual. Good luck to you.

Flambe,Toss in menopause, and libido is non-existent! I have no desire, and truly feel for my husband. I wonder if I offered him to seek out a girl friend, how that would be accepted?...lolBest of luck to you!Keep safe...classy
