Epilepsy Foundation Indiana Announces New Executive Director

Diana Miller-Wilson will play a key role in the development and expansion of the signature community engagement initiative, Community Action Network (CAN)

Indianapolis, IN – Epilepsy Foundation, the nation’s leader in epilepsy and seizure information engagement, announces Dianna Miller-Wilson as the new Executive Director of the Epilepsy Foundation in Indiana effective August 1, 2016. Dianna will lead various key programs and initiatives, as well as play a key role in the development and expansion of the signature community engagement initiative, Community Action Network (CAN).

Dianna brings over 20 years of professional experience in neurology with a focus in sleep medicine and neurodiagnostic testing. During her career she has led a successful hospital-based program in Indiana where she maintained all operational functions and supported key business strategies. Dianna has also spent her time working directly with the youth at the Franklin Township Community School Corporation and provided educational resources for adult students to advance professionally in the real estate industry. In 2004 she founded the Indiana Society of Sleep Professionals that has provided several health professionals throughout the state, with quality education and resources in the field of sleep medicine.

Prior to Dianna’s hire, the Epilepsy Foundation Indiana had the pleasure of having Sandra Pollard serve as President for 4 years prior to accepting the role as Executive Director in January 2015. Sandra has led the organization by overseeing several new programs and initiatives that have expanded community outreach and awareness for hundreds of people impacted by epilepsy. She will continue to support the organization as an active board advisor. "My hope is that I have made a positive difference for our Indiana residents suffering the daily challenges of epilepsy,” said Sandra Pollard, former Executive Director of Epilepsy Foundation Indiana. “The relationships that I have made will forever leave an incredible imprint on my heart.  As I turn the reigns of leadership over to Ms. Miller-Wilson,  I look forward to the opportunity for continued growth of programs and services.  My wish is for the great state of Indiana to come together for the greater good of those we are serving and to assure our mission is sustained."

When a person has two unprovoked seizures or one unprovoked seizure with the likelihood of more, they are considered to have epilepsy.
