Temporal lobectomy. Should I go for it?

I've had epilepsy since 2007. It appeared totally out of the blue with no obvious cause. I was married, had a young son, a career and living a really full and happy life.  I've tried so many drugs but nothing makes any difference and I have complex partial seizures everyday.

I had the SEEG depth electrodes a couple of months ago with brain stimulation to localise the seizure onset. The right temporal lobe is mainly responsible but the frontal lobe looks like it wants to join the party! I know my chances of seizure freedom are reduced but I still want/need the chance to get my life back on track.

I am a single parent of an 11 year old who has had to put up with everything in our life being so difficult as well as coping when I have a seizure.  My parents help with transport as we live in the middle of nowhere. Friends have drifted away and I have never felt so lonely and hopeless. I'm  really worried that the surgery will be too much for my son to mentally cope with. I just don't know what to do. I have no one who understands that I can talk to. There is no epilepsy group near me.
