Long Term Pain After Tumor Removal? Neuralgia?

Fri, 11/18/2011 - 16:00
Hello all! I had a golf ball sized benign tumor removed from my right temporal lobe in June of 2010. It has been quite some time, but I still experience pain near the incision site. This pain does not seem to be related to weather pressure. It can be sharp and sudden as well as burning, stinging, deep, and aching; A variety of pains with a variety of time lengths. has anyone had any experience with this? I suspect it's Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, but this is only based on research I've done on my own. I have an appointment next week, but I want to be prepared with questions for the doctor. Does anyone know if Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia can occur as a complication of a craniotomy or temporal lobectomy? Thank you!!! Cassie
