Do OTC Pain Relievers Work

Hi everyone,

I had left temporal lobectomy three years ago.  Since then, I have been using pain relievers nonstop, prescription for one month and over-the-counter to date 24/7 between 7 and 10+ on the pain scale.  My doctors tell me headache will eventually go away but takes a long time and give me no further explanation.

I suppose pain relievers block the receptor from getting pain signals and, thus, literally alleviate headache to be the least or takes it away to be the best.  However, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

What should I do?  Any advice?
