Non-drug therapy for epilepsy based on cutting-edge neuroscientific research

Thu, 11/12/2015 - 06:54

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share some amazing news with you.

Dr. Yoko Nagai began her research in electrodermal biofeedback therapy for epilepsy in 1997. This research has since attracted significant amounts of scientific research funding that has enabled clinical trials and a deeper understanding of the brain mechanisms by which the therapy can reduce the occurrence of epileptic seizures. With her extensive research, she has developed the Autonomic Cognitive Rehabituation Training (ACRT).

The project is currently looking for supporters and contributors through Indiegogo. With your support, ACRT will become available to worldwide to people with epilepsy who are in search of non-invasive, side-effect free and affordable behavioural therapy for control of seizures. The therapy can be undertaken in the comfort of one’s home, yet it will be accessible on digital platforms in any other location.

We all know how our emotions and outside world triggers our seizures. This therapy option (ACRT) goes beyond Cognitive Behavioural Therapy by taking a more holistic account of the role of the body in the expression of emotional feelings and thoughts, and by working directly on physiological aspects of well-being.

A project worth checking out - for a happy, healthy, seizure-free life!

Greetings,

Vicky
