I get this feeling we have met before, and I'm going to be talking to myself here, but never mind I don't mind. Really... Why not for a for a start, try and take time to call a doctor. That might really, as in really help get to the bottom of this.
Also try reading this site. Reason why? Read on cryptic poster, read on.

What type of seizures do you

What type of seizures do you have? How long have you had them? What meds have you been on? What tests have you had? What type of specialist do you see? Now, to answer your question.. Just as there is no getting rid of diabetes, there is no 'getting rid' of epilepsy (at least in most cases). One can 'control' the seizures, and 75% of those with E are perfectly controlled. Just as diabetics must always take their insulin, even those controlled with E must always take their meds. It's a fact that some types of childhood seizures are outgrown, but that isn't the majority. Today, surgery exists for a % of people with partial seizures but no surgery is guaranteed as it only works 'completely' in some of cases. Some of people who still have seizures after surgery can then be controlled via meds; yet, for a few, surgery will make no difference. To corrobrate my statements: http://www.epilepsy.com/101/ep101_duration.html hope that helps, ~sol
