seizures that were showing up on EEGs now "hiding"

Fri, 04/21/2006 - 16:41
I was diagnosed with Epilepsy in June/2005 and recently turned 50. My doctor considers my epilepsy "intractible" now. Howevever during the last 2 24 hour EEGs (the kind you wear home) no seizures showed up and I know I had may 5-6 seizures or more during that time. Has anyone else had this problem and can you help me understand why a seizure wouldn't show up? My doctor has NO "chairside" manner and I feel very "stupid" asking questions (please don't tell me to change doctors right now - I'm in the process of doing that, but it takes time with my HMO). Thanks for any input.
