recently diagnosed with epilespy
Mon, 10/20/2014 - 19:38Hello everyone,
I have known for a few years now that i was sick or something was wrong because i kept passing out. I kept going to the ER and making doctor appoinments and every time i was diagnosed with something different. Finally, i had an eeg that showed epileptic brain patterns/waves and the fainting spells were actually siezures. Well, i am 27, a full time student and i live on my own. So i guess i would just like some feed back, i have heard of epilespy mostly from movies but i realy dont know much about it. I have been a bit emotional since i found out last week and was just basically hoping for some feedback on how people cope. As of now my epilespy is more of a mild form i guess you can say, i dont have seizures daily just every few months. But in between those seizures i have times were i wake up in the morning confused, tired or with horrible migranes, does anyone else expericnce that?
Welcome Those mornings you

Welcome Those mornings you wake up confucced and not focused could have been mornings after you had a seizure at night. You didn't post the type of seizures you have or the type of epilepsy you were diagnosed with. Also the medication the doctors have put you on. There are many different medicatins and they all work. Dosages are generally set with the doctor knowing a patient having the same type of seizures as yours. But dosages and medications are alike in a few ways. A medication and dosages that workes for one may not work for the next. I hope this helps and please do come back and let us know how things are going
