Not sure what is going on

My son is 40 years old. He had a Grand Mal Seizure when he was about 25. Nothing since then, until six months ago when he had another Grand Mal Seizure and his wife said he was hallucinating (he does not drink or take recreational drugs) He was hallucinating, telling her to get away from him and weird other nonsensical things. This went on for about 20 minutes. He threw up but then had the seizure. She has epilepsy but had never seen him like this, so she had EMT come and they took him to ER. Basically they said since he had a seizure before he has Epilepsy and sent him home. Told him to go to Neurologist if he has any other problems. Last night his wife said that he was saying all these weird things. She kept trying to get him to recognize her and he would occasionally. She finally got him to go to sleep but stayed awake all night concerned for him. When he was young, he had a couple episodes at night where he would back away from me saying "Don't hurt me Mom, don't hurt me. ". That was so upsetting to me as I would never hurt him. I didn't know if he really was feeling that or was being dramatic. I'm not sure what is going on. He has Lyme Diseade. Not sure if that effects him that way. Just wondering if anyone has a clue about all this.

welcomeAn infection of any kind does affect medications.  I get upset when I get the flu or anything else since I know I might have a seizure if it isn't taken care of fast. Now I did some research and there is a site someone wrote about seizures and her lyme disease https://kimmiecakeskickslyme.wordpress.com/2014/03/11/lyme-and-seizures/I will also speak from what a friend went thru with lyme disease. She has a few seizures while she was battling it.. So yes lyme disfase has cause people to have seizures. When you go to the site I put in here you would see the different types of seizures she has also put in a lot of other information that can be helpful to people with both seizures and lymes disease. You might also want to read responses to her blog page
