Newly diagnosed, just looking for a path of knowledge

Sun, 01/17/2016 - 22:30

Hi, I was recently diagnosed with having what the neurologist called "a penny's worth of epilepsy" He has ordered an EEG and MRI and has prescribed me Topamax 50 mg to once a day for a week to start and then to twice a day.

2 weeks ago, I was sitting at my computer and had a bad stomach cramp, which made me sit up straighter, then made my tongue kinda go numb/tingling and that's all I remember until I woke to my family standing over me calling my name. I have had this before a few years back, and I think, but can't remember for certain, maybe one other time.

I've had memory and comprehension issues for a few years now, my PCP thought maybe adult onset ADD. Could this possibly be from the seizures?

Just a little nervous/scared/anxious everything everyone here has already probably experienced.

Thanks in advance.
