New to seizures

Sat, 03/19/2016 - 02:24
I'm a 22 year old woman who, within the past year or so, has experienced seizures. My first one was in December of 2014. It came out of nowhere. I was chatting with friends and all of a sudden (so I'm told) I start convulsing. I had lost consciousness (As i don't recall having it) and apparently was obsessing over a hat I had been wearing. Apparently I was trying to put it on my foot. That part I saw but was not making sense of. I came to and was extremely confused. I had a hard time talking and walking. My 2nd one was in Jan of 2015 after a pretty heated argument with some new roommates. I saw an old roommate from last semester and proceeded to tell her about it until I had a seizure. I don't remember anything besides not knowing who she was. After a few minutes or so my memory came back and I could remember who she was (i knew her for a whole semester prior). I felt terrible. My last full blown one was June of 2015. I was buying something and couldn't seem to comprehend how to get my money out of my wallet, I was trugglng. Normally I wouldnt. Somehow i did it and ended up exiting the store without my purchase. Apparently I came out of the store pointing at my friends and the clerkcame out with my purchase and that's when I fell, hit my head on the pavement amd continued to seize for about 2 minutes. I wake up with a bunch of people staring at me and my friends asking if I'm ok. Common sense tells me I had a seizure, why else would I be on the ground. Like my other ones, i had a hard time with my motor skills and don't remember anything. To my knowledge, I haven't had one like that since. I do get very weird feelings such as heightened hearing and feelings, feeling out of my body, staring off, lots of memory loss and trouble thinking (words, simple math problems etc). Last week i had an incident at work where one of the kids wandered off and I panicked a bit and wemt into the other room to find her. I guess I lost my memory because my coworker told me she left with her mom and my coworker told me she had said that to me amd apparently I responded-I don't remember this. When she told me what happened I panicked and got a weird feeling like I was going to pass out and possibly seize, but I didn't. It was more of a heightened sensory thing. Not ever sure how to describe what happens, which is probably a big problem with trying to diagnose me. MY doctors say it is stress but I don't think that is all what causes it. I have been through way more stressful events and the prior event (talking) to my first full blown seizure was not stressful. I've had a bunch of tests done and they all came back normal. I was on meds (prior to any sizure) that my psychiatrist prescribed and one of them happened to double as an anti-seizure med. After my first seizure, my psychiatrist and my neurologist kept upping them. I was on well over 500mg of meds all together. I'm barely 100lbs and I felt better (mentally) and so I wanted to go off them. I haven't had a full blown seizure sinc June. Reading the website makes me think i have partial ones all the time. I don't know what to think of all this. It's very scary for me. My doctors don't seem to listen and it doesn't help that i have no idea how to eplain things. Help? Advice? Thanks!
