Hi, Im new here so I thought i would introduce myself. I have no officially been diagnosed with seizures. I recently got insurance so i am looking into having a physical done. for the last five or so years ive been having what we think are seizures in my sleep. they happen every few months or so, and usually go along with sleep walking which i have done sinse i was a kid. my boyfriend said i had a seizure and called 911, I had a CAT scan, MRI and EEG and they couldnt find anything wrong. they put me on keppra for awhile but have sinse taken me off. for awhile i wasnt having any problems, now i have walked twice in the last two months as well as had two seizures (that i know of) my boyfriend witnessed the one a couple months ago, he said it lasted about two minutes and i slept walked afterwords. last week i was at my own house and i remember sleep walking i know that sounds weird but i remember kind of like a dream and then i wake up to my tongue being severly bitten. its been over a week of healing my teeth have been very sore as well. a few years ago i bit my tongue so bad i had to go to the dr. and have a small chunk of it cut off because it didnt heal. I guess im mainly here becauseim at a loss as to what to do next, and why does this only happen at night when im sleeping. why cant they find a reason for my seizures? everything is coming back normal. what do i do next?

When 911 is called they will

When 911 is called they will run many tests and they may have nothing to do with epilepsy. The main tests done for epilepsy are the EEG and an MRI. IF they see nothing that is not normal in the MRI then your brain looks normal just like everyone elses. I had 20-25 different EEG's that all came back normal, Then I fell asleep in one that didn't.A GP can diagnosis epilepsy but they will also refer you to a neurologist for a diagnosis that way you will have someone that knows more about the different seizures and medications. When you get the physical discuss this with them and tell them about everything yu posted on this post. That way you will be going forward.
