I've been diagnosed with PNES (anxiety ) seizures.

Hi,

I'm new to this group as I have been diagnosed with PNES (anxiety )seizures.  They started when I was pregnant and taking fertility medications about 15 months ago.  I am pretty motivated to find some answers for this type of seijure.  As I have not found many people who have come out to say that they have experienced these type of seizures.  I am currently only working part-time as my job as a mental health therapist as it is very stressful.  I have 2 small children at home and it is also very stressful to take care of them. In these type of seizures, the more stress you experience, the more tremors you tend to have.  I do take medication that does tend to help at times, but it's anti-anxiety medication and I don't like taking that kind of medication. I do have a therapist that I see on a regular basis. However, so far, the therapy is not helping much.

I am looking for any support, advice, similiar experiences or just someone to talk to at this point.

Thanks,  Autumn

welcomeIf you post needing information about pnes seizures you may get some assistance here. However there is a web site for National Seizure Disorders Foundation (NSDF)  Both epilepsy and pmes are seizure disorders and the national seizure disorder foundation is trying to get neurologists specializing in epilepsy to join with them and help more people. I don't know how far their talks have gone but you can get information from them too I hope this helps Joe
